中国，具有五千年悠久的历史，创造了丰富多彩的文化，是人类文化瑰宝的发源地之一。而上海，是中国改革开放的前沿，也是吸引外籍人士投资、工作、生活的伊甸园。随着改革开放的力度增加，越来越多的外籍人士选择了上海，而他们的子女再上海就读也成为了客观需求。为了让在沪外籍人员子女更好地认识中国、了解中国，体验和学习中国传统文化，拓展本市外籍人员子女学校学生素质教育活动天地，由上海市教育委员会主办、上海市科技艺术教育中心承办的“中国文化进外籍人员子女学校”活动于2011年正式启动。
China, with a long history of5000 years and abundant culture, is one birthplace of mankind’s culturaltreasure. While, Shanghai, as a vanguard in the frontier of China’s reform andopening up, is a paradise for foreigners’investment, work and life. With agrowing number of foreigners coming to Shanghai in the trends of reform andopening up, a demand is emerging that their children need to study in Shanghai.To facilitate their understanding of China with its traditional culture, and toenrich educational activities of Shanghai schools for foreign personnel’schildren, an activity called “Chinese culture entering schools for foreignpersonnel’s children” was launched in 2011, hosted by Shanghai EducationCommission, and organized by Shanghai Science, Technology, Art, and EducationCenter.
我校历来重视学生对中华传统文化的了解、体验、学习以及传播工作，积极参与各项中华传统文化活动。在2020年“中华传统文化”视频展示活动中，我校陈丽丽老师带领四名外籍学生共同编排汇演了主题为“用柔美的民族舞表现了舞者对中国传统文化的挚爱与依恋”节目，最终喜获该项活动一等奖。
Great attention has been paid to students’ understanding, experiencing,learning and spreading of traditional Chinese culture in our school. Besidesthat, we also take an active part in varied traditional Chinese activities. In 2020, in a video presentation competition, under the guidance of Ms. Chenlili,some foreign students choregraphed and performed a dancing program with thetheme of “ expressing dancers’ affection for traditional Chinese culture inmellow folk dance, winning the first prize of this kind.
“中国文化进外籍人员子女学校”活动，不仅仅是提供中华传统文化的“传播之行”，也是让在沪外籍人士子女体验中华传统文化的“学习之旅”，更是加强中外文化交流增进相互了解的“融合之举”。
“Chinese culture enteringschools for foreign personnel’s children” not only provided an access tospreading our traditional culture but serves as a journey for learning Chineseculture. On top of that, it acts as a means of integration, which enhances theexchange of eastern and western cultures.
